Brow Lift, North Dakota
A brow lift, or forehead lift, reduces wrinkle lines that develop across the forehead. This is ideal for people who want to soften a heavy brow, or scowl expression. A forehead lift can be combined with other plastic surgery procedures, including a facelift or blepharoplasty.
Overview
Reduces wrinkle lines that develop across the forehead, as well as the vertical frown lines between the eyebrows. Raises sagging brows placing the eyebrows in an alert and youthful position.
Improve drooping eyebrows and forehead creases.
Same-day surgery. Staples or sutures may be used depending on the type of brow lift you receive. Bruising usually resolves by 2 weeks. Follow up visit at 1 month.
There is a drain placed during the procedure and will be removed one-day postop. Staples to be removed at 10 days.
Have baby shampoo available post-procedure; regular shampoos may burn the incision.
During forehead lift, muscle and tissue are removed and tightened to smooth the furrows and wrinkles above the eyes and nose. An incision is made just behind the hairline, and skin is lifted and tightened and sutured into the new position. The result is smoother forehead skin and a more alert appearance.
Patients who undergo forehead lift may experience some numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision. Recovery from forehead lift takes about 10 days, and most visible signs of surgery should disappear within about three weeks.
