PRF / Microneedling North Dakota
PRF/Microneedling (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is one of the most natural ways to induce collagen. You can use PRF in either an injection or with microneedling. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is second-generation PRP platelets, and leukocytes are present to accelerate the healing of soft and hard tissue.
About
PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is a growth factor-rich substance derived from your own blood to promote skin rejuvenation. Similar to PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), the fibrin is extracted via a blood draw that is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the blood’s growth factors. PRF can be used as a masque during your microneedling procedure or can be injected directly into the skin alone or in combination with dermal fillers for enhanced anti-aging results.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This stimulates the body’s natural wound-healing process while minimizing cellular damage. As the skin heals from these micro-wounds, new collagen is created, and scar tissue is broken up. The result is a smoother, tighter skin tone and texture. Old scar tissue is remodeled while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.
Microneedling with Platelet Rich Fibrin (also known as PRF) is a procedure that uses growth factors extracted from your own blood in tandem with microneedling techniques to enhance collagen production, promoting younger-looking and feeling skin, and a more even skin texture. PRF with microneedling can also reduce visual symptoms of skin damage.
PRF with micro-needling is well-suited to anyone with marks, blemishes, or aging skin. It is enhanced micro-needling; that is, the standard micro-needling procedure is augmented by adding Platelet Rich Fibrin that is naturally produced in your body. The PRF process is safe and effective and is achieved by extracting cells from a blood draw and utilizing the extracted material during micro-needling. Micro-needling with PRF has been shown to produce greater results than traditional micro-needling for many clients. Many times a series of treatments are needed for an optimal result.
The two-step procedure begins by cleaning and numbing the skin, followed by a quick blood draw. The blood is placed inside a centrifuge designed to separate PRF from other blood components. After spinning, the PRF is harvested from the top of the vial into a syringe. PRF is then used in combination with microneedling and applied as a masque during treatment.
Microneedling with PRF can improve acne scars, smooth fine lines & wrinkles, help rejuvenate dull skin, improve skin texture, and assist in rebuilding collagen.
The entire appointment will take between 60-90 minutes. While you may experience redness and sign of irritation, it is safe to drive, work, and get back to daily activities immediately following the treatment. The skin will appear pink to red immediately post-procedure, similar to moderate sunburn. The most common treatment responses are dryness, tightness, redness, itching, peeling, and a mild burning sensation. Most responses resolve in 48-72 hours.
Avoid rigorous exercise, applying skincare products other than a mild cleanser, and sun exposure the first 48 hours.

Any bruises, redness, swelling, or peeling that appears after your procedure should be expected to heal within 3-7 days.
